Its harvest is wild, using only mature Rhodacantha agaves, respecting the millenary tradition of the master raicilleros of El Refugio de Suchitlán, Cabo Corrientes, Jalisco. ¿What is the raicilla?
It is the distilled alcoholic beverage originating from the coastal area of Cabo Corrientes, Jalisco, obtained from the distillation and rectification of musts, prepared directly and originally from the extracted material derived from the milling of the mature heads of the Rhodacantha Agave, previously or subsequently hydrolyzed or cooked and subjected to alcoholic fermentation.
Definition of raicilla
The Raicilla is a syncretism of two peoples, Mexican mestizaje, heritage of our history. In it are mixed the teometl - the milk of Mayahuel, the legendary nurturing mother of the Mexicans, and the 'espirit de vi' - the Arabic-European distillation by which extract the spirit from the fruit of the earth. To produce one of the oldest Mexican spirits: the raicilla.
